Im a local and had several Poor experiences in the ER.. waiting is terrible. Others will get seen before you (even if you got there hours before). None of the staff seems to know where their doctor is when asked. be prepared to wait for long hours and treated as a non priority. Suggesting to go elsewhere if another hospital is nearby you.
Upgrades are fancy and nice but would have seriously been better if the money was spent on getting more actual staff than making the hospital look fancy with all the renovations.

Emily drake has to be the worst doctor here she’s inconsiderate, doesn’t listen to what the patient is telling her and completely ignores the concerns they have too so if you get her as a doctor id ask for a second opinion

Sat in a room in the ER for hours waiting for someone to check on second hernia. Got bored with waiting and can only figure I must be fine so I just walked out. If you don’t talk to an actual surgeon you may as well go. Get rid of the over paid administrative staff and get more qualified doctors maybe.

Delivered our first baby at the Lake of the woods Maternity ward in Kenora. They are so awesome, Dr. B.Mahon, Dr. A. Krahn, Dr.T. Wehner and all the nurses are absolutely the best! Thank you for All that you did for me, my husband and for my baby! We delivered a healthy baby girl via normal delivery. You’re the best and I can’t thank you enough! From Sanchez family we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I had knee replacement surgery at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital yesterday. My whole experience was very positive and I was very impressed with all of the hospital staff who took such wonderful care of me. A special shoutout to the surgery department nurses who were so kind, caring, skillful and dedicated. I am so grateful for their service. Thank you also to Dr. Puskas for his expertise and experience, and for travelling to Kenora to provide such a valuable service. Kenora residents are very fortunate to have such quality professionals serving our community!
